V6 5 speed into IROC 305 TPI
V6 5 speed into IROC 305 TPI
Ive got two 5- speed v6 third gens laying around. Can i swap the manual tranny from these cars into my IROC? Motor is a 305 TPI. Ive been told both the V8 and V6 5-sppeds are the same. Just an idea i am throwing around. Any help would be great.

i know that a v6 auto tranny needs to be fitted with a v8 bell housing, maybe its the same for the v6 manual trannies.

sorry dude, but they are different. the v-8 tranny has a fine spline input shaft , and the v-6 has a coarse pline input shaft.
the v-6 clutch is way to small to hold a v-8
