TPI Swap question (search isnt working)

I bought a tpi intake, plenum, and runners from ebay that Im sawpping into my 89rs. Year unknown but its for a 305 and it has the cold start injector. Im looking at ecms on ebay but I cant find one that the tpi article specifies. Will one from say a 1990 5.7 tpi vette work? Can I use any ecm that was used on tpi? What advantages do the 90-92 have over the 86-89? thanks normally I would have searched first cause Im sure theres plenty of posts about this but search wouldent work for me.

i think that would also bring up the issue of VATS is your car didn't come with it, not sure about that though. hopefully somebody can provide more information

The ECM for it really depends on what year wiring harness you are using and how much pin swapping you can deal with.
If you plan on using the CSI, you need a 165 ECM with a MAF sensor. If you plan on disabling the CSI you can go with a 165 ECM and prom for 1989 (get VATS disabled) and still need the MAF. If otherwise you get the S/D harness for the TPI and the ECM and prom for it (again VATS disabled).
