Camshaft Compatability

After doing some searchs, I have come to reason that speed density TPI really needs a cam with 112 degree LSA or more depending on duration, etc.. Now what about MAF? My cam is a Comp Cams Xtreme energy 268H with specs as follows:

Duration at .050: 224/230
Lift:.477/.480
LSA:110

I've been told different things, some people say that this cam will work fine with MAF with a little prom tuning, others say the LSA is too narrow. Who's right? I'd rather not switch cams if I can make this one work, and besides it makes good power and has a mean idle yet still produces 15 in.Hg at 900 RPM . Thanks for any replys.

I cant think of any reason that wouldnt work. I have the same duration with a 112LSA, and while it runs, it needed alot of tuning. Definitely not a stock chip camshaft. I wouldnt worry about the 110LSA.

Awesome thats what I was hoping to hear . This cam worked great with the holley carb, needed more stall but makes really nice power in usable RPM ranges, hopefully with a bit of tuning I can get similar results with the TPI.
