Is this a good deal!!!!!!
Is this a good deal!!!!!!
Alrite i finally convinced my parents to let me sell my gay import crap and get real american muscle. Ive always loved 3rd gens and some of my friends have them. I mite be buying a 1990 firebird GTA. It is the original owner who bought it off the showroom floor. It has 98000 miles and a brand new 3000 dollar ppg red paintjob. Also many other new parts. Very NICE!!!!
Ok so i can get it for 4k. Is this too high or is this a good deal. It looks really nice and the guy is an older guy so it shouldnt be too ragged out. But i was wondering that even if it was taken good care of how much hp would i be losing with that many miles. And would it be worth to mod or just wait for an engine rebuild.
Thank you very much for your input. I am kinda new to the prices for these cars and would love any help possible!

If the car is clean, inside and out, and it runs good like it's been taken good care of then 4,000 dollars is a good price. I picked up my 90 Irocz w/ 112,000 on the tick but it looked great (original paint) and the interior was near mint, plus it still pulls hard. I paid 5,000. What I would do is buy the GTA, tune it up and see where you'd like to go from there. 98,000 miles is not the end of the L98's life. You can mod it and still achieve nice numbers for another 20+ thousand miles, and then when you have a better job in the future, a budget crate engine, tranny, and rearend won't seem so expensive. Hope that helps you decide!

Sounds like a good deal to me and i have always looked at it like this. You are gonna need all the bolt ons to make a car fast with a new engine or a tired engine it does not matter. So get your exhaust, air intake upgraded ignition etc and when it is time to rebuild the motor you already have all the bolt ons to make it run fast.
