What kind of horespower and torque numbers can I expect from an 89+ 305 TPI with the following mods? Any 1/4 mile estimates? Thanks in advance.

Good set of headers - Edelbrock?
SLP (or similar) cold air intake/K&N
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS
New shocks/struts (Bilstein?)
Eibach Pro-Kit

Also, what results can I expect from a good set of heads and a moderate cam - i.e. 212-214 degrees duration at .050, less than .480 lift (combined with the above)?

Manual or Automatic?

Manual w/ decent driving and mods listed 14.8x assuming the car is in fresh tune and everything that should go without saying has been fixed/replaced.

Automatic w/ perfect launches and mods listed 15.2x.

Just taking a stab at it. I'm sure others will chime in soon enough.

 

That sounds about right. What gears do you have?

 

It'd be a 5-speed, hence the 305.

I'm not sure of what gears I'd put on it, I haven't looked into that yet...

I'm taking it those numbers are without the H/C package?

You can run a 14.8ish or better dead stock with a late model dual cat 305 TPI 5spd car (3.4x gears, hotter cam stock)... A low low 14 or maybe even high 13 if you had a real good runner wouldn't suprise me at all with the pre-heads/cam mods assuming a good track and a decent launch...

 

Thanks for the extra input Ray. That's exactly what I was thinking, 14.8 seemed rather low for those mods...my eventual goal is to get it as fast as the Trans Am - low 13's .
