Gas tank post?

I appear to be having tank related issues, random success @ startup, filterfull of rust, unverified low fuel pressure. Anyway, I remember seeing a rather promising post regarding installation of a plastic tank from newer cars. I cant find it with the search, and hoped someone could confirm or deny this as an option.

By the way, my car had been sitting in the garage for about 4months cause it wouldnt start, recently got reenergized to work on it and look forward to the pleasure of driving it again.

i dont think the newer plastic tanks will work because i think the neck is different, which really isnt a big deal, but i dont think the newer used a return line. i could be wrong, that is just the latest info i have heard.
