EGR or Vacuum?

Sup everyone! This site is so informative (and entertaining ) and it seems I have a potential problem of my own. The car is a 92' Z28 5.7 t.p.i./auto. Mods so far are edelbrock headers,3" exhaust,no cat(mysteriously "fell" off)
lately, whenever I decrease speed (stoplight or turning into driveways) or put it in reverse, under 900rpms the needle would jump from 500-1000 and die.??????? So I did a code check and came up with 32. I know a "missing cat" can throw this, so I checked my vaccum lines...replaced a connector and hose comming out of the plenum on the passengers side so I thought, CHEE HUUUUU!!! fix!!
-the test run-
idle in park is about 1000, in R or D its maybe 750rpms. I t still died when I stopped.??? Anyone have a clue to whatelse maybe wrong? Faulty EGR solenoid(is it the one bolted to the plenum,in front of the dist, and to the side of the coil?) or a faulty EGR itself? Thanks for any info for this is really itching my brain
