5.7 TPI Rebuild
Want to rebuild my 350. Put in a little extra, but keep it computer friendly with no new chips. Completely balanced internals maybe some lighter weight but durable. Going to be everyday driver. Do not believe in trophy cars for myself. Possibly adding on turbo later. Have 87 iroc-z 350 now. Buying 87 Trans Am 350 tomorrow.

If you are not aiming at the sky then just use you factory crank and rods. Get some KB pistons for now. Have you researched what all is entailed with installing a turbocharger onto a 3rd Gen.?
I would get some Vortec heads with the appropriate base, you only have one choice of supplier right now. Use what ever runners you want, stock TB and plenum are fine. Feel free to port all the TPI stuff if your heart desires. Stay mild with cam, 218* @.050 max duration in my opinion. That is all based on the idea of decent idle, good mileage, all the stuff you mentioned above.
BTW, did you run a search of engine combos?
