yes, it would be too much for a 305tpi with aftermarket heads and cam...some may disagree but wit ha 305 u wanna stay away from the tunnel ram stlye intakes and stick with the long runners, stick with aftermarket base and runners and port all around if u want...

For sure. The most I would do to a 305 concerning intake is ported aftermarket TPI stuffs. However, I think you'll be more than happy with aftermarket runners\base right out of the box. The Superram (or any equivalent intake) will bog the 305 down in the lower end so bad that the top end won't make up for it.
So out of curiousity what have you done with the mouse to make it run 13.9@97? Impressive, do tell.

heres the specs on it, but first off i started out like many other lb9 5spd owners i know, 15.1 @ 93.25 with a 2.5 60 ft.
vehicle weight with driver 3350 with a 1/4 tank of fuel
hollowed cat
emissions delete
A/C delete
throttle body coolant bypass
cut the bottoms off the air box
manifold air temperature sensor relocated to the air box cover
160 stat, manual control dual fans
dynomax super turbo exhaust
dynomax headers
headman Y pipe 2.25 to 2.50
ported plenum
ac delco plugs
centerforce dual friction clutch
energy suspension torque arm bushing
energy suspension tranny mount
9 bolt with 3.27 gears (not run at the track yet)
pbr rear calipers and 11.86 rotors
so nuthin done to it thats crazy, still gets the same gas mileage and stuff. runs great. i guess a lot of driving practice played a big part in acheiving that time. after a while u learn the car pretty well and dragging gets to be a routine. i went to smokemup.com and the 3350 weight and 97.08 mph pass equated to like 208hp at the wheels, seems pretty reasonable to me, and when it was stock 3450 with a 93.25 pass was like 190 at the wheels, that seems pretty accurate to. alot of people say its a freak but i honestly think that every other car with the same options can do the same thing.

i was thinkin about getting the SLP runners for it, and not porting them, i figured that porting em would be over kill for the little wheezer i got. but what should i do for a base? aftermarket or port the stocker? and for throttle bodys the 52mm is what i was lookin at but i think it might be to much, so i figured i could have a machine shop bore out my stock one to a 50mm. id also like to change over to map to get rid of the maf.
