OK I curently own an 89 ta.Here are the options:350 tpi, built 700r4 with tranny cooler and 2800 stall, aussie 9bolt with 3.45 gear. Motor mods include ported plenum/base, slp siamiesed runners ported, full msd ignition, ram air, full exhaust, accell programer(for laptop), airfoil, afpr, biggest fuel pump you can put(forgot which one and how much it flows) and was thinking of getting my cousins vette heads for a couple hundred and doing a cam. The car has t-tops and is gun metal grey with purple pearl, painted 1.5 yrs ago.
Interior is black with 96 charcoal leather t/a seats. Also has silver gta wheels.
Now heres the dilema:
Today I went and test drove a 95 camaro z28 6sp.
Black with charcoal cloth interior. It has 30,000 miles, fully loaded but no t-tops. The car was set up to road race and has full roll cage, k&n cai, full exhaust(hooker headers, borla cat back),afpr,b&m ripper shifter, auburn posi with 3.73 gear, strut tower brace, thicker sway bars, all polypropeline bushings, is lowered has 2 sets of slicks, 1 extra set of rims with tires, racing seat, and 5 pt harness's. The car was very tight mechanically. It is missing the rear seats and panneling, all carpeting, and the radio trim piece. It could have a bad air pump or when the headers were put on(no air tubes on them) they blocked a hose or something because the ces light is on, and the dealer said it was the air pump. the dealer replaced the fuse and the light went away but the fuse popped and it came back. The car also has a broken passenger door molding and small hole in back passenger bumper. This z is a 1 owner and has never been hit. Owner is selling not dealer. I can buy it for $5000. And probably sell mine for $5,000 so no $$ is lost.
What should I do? Sell my car w/t-tops and get this one without them? I know this car is worth more but I like t-tops.
Sorry to be so long but its driving me crazy.

30,000 miles is pretty good for a 95...........until you realize that he did quite a bit of racing. I wouldn't recommend that as a daily driver. I definitely wouldn't finance it but I guess you aren't anyways.

Chances are it has far more then 30000 on it. They most likely disconnected the odometer to keep the milage low. Your call.

Stick with your car - you know it's history. Besides, do you WANT to autocross? Or are you looking for straight line? If you wanted to autocross the Z28 might be a good idea, but you got a bunch of neat stuff lined up power wise for your current car.
