Just wondering what everybody would guess I'll be running this summer once I get my car done (see general board for pics) here is what I"m doing

383 motor LT4 hot cam
Ported L98 heads
SLP runners
Siamesed base
ported plenum
AFPR
Custom burnt chip
SLP 1 3/4 Headers
Custom Dula exhaust
3000rpm stall TC
3.42 gears

just wondering what people will think I'll be running. I'm hoping for 12.8 or so? possible you think? and what about if I do some AFR 195's? I eventually plan on that but not till end of summer

Depends how good of a port job those heads got. That could be holding you back big time. Low 12s with the AFRs wouldn't at all be unreasonable in my mind.

 

Yeah make sure you do some rather intensive work on the L98s... and port out the SLP runner ends, as they need some work out of the box especially on a 383. Other than that I say high 12's is well within reach.

 

Im just gonna guess and say low 14's.

 

Borts a funny guy - he's not serious. If don't run at least a 13.0 with a 383 setup you have intelligence/tuning issues.

 

13.0 or under with a good launch.
