Getting knock counts
Getting knock counts
But I'm pretty sure I have no knock! It's an intermittent problem, so it's been tough to try to pinpoint. Mostly seems to do it at idle, I'll get like 120 knock counts, but then it'll go away after driving some, then come back when it idles. Anyone have this problem before? Could it be the cam causing it? I'm running the CC305 cam, and converted to SD. And yes I have a SD knock sensor in the car. It just started doing this last week. I checked all the exhaust to make sure it's not hitting, went over everything I could think of that might trigger the knock sensor, but found nothing that helped. Throw some ideas my way guys!

after putting in the Vigilante Converter,
any chance your clutch could be chattering
or loose in some way that causes a rattle
at idle? (Clutch depressed?)
How's your rocker lash? Are your lifters
known good? Since your oil pressure
(and thus, lifter hyd action) will flutter at idle,
it may be something else to check..
Do you have a spare knock sensor to
try? I've had 2 Autozone '730 sensors go bad
on me, giving false knock
(once you've chedked the obvious, it can
get pretty tough)

Well, I just redid the valve lash. It's a brand new AC delco sensor, so I hope that's not the problem. Does it clutch in or out, driving sometimes, idleing sometimes. Lifters are brand new, I've got about 2500 on the motor. Seems odd, because for the first 2000 miles I had no problems like this, but now it does this crap!
