Ok, I've got a '90 rs that ws orignally a 305 tbi car. I threw in a 357 and a carb and chopped the harness to work. Well yesterday I bought an '89 TPI manifold set, computer and harness. My question is weather I can run this harness without any issues. I've read about the repinning to SD but do I really have to? I know I've gotta put a PROM in it to work but can I get a way with using the '89 setup with SD? And does the '89 have the cold-start injector? If it does is there any way to eliminate it? I've already got the other 8 from a '94 LT1 car. I just want to clear these things up before I go and throw this thing in my car and it doesn't work. Thanks for the Info guys.

SD needs a different ECM. 89 doesn't have the Cold Start.
SD also requires a different knock sensor.
You will need a 730 series ECM
Stock Prom with VATS disabled
Knock Sensor
Re-pin the harness
and you should be good to go.
