Interesting question
Ok, this is something thats bugged me since I got this car. I'm selling her, but I'm still curious. Idling after warming up for a while, I can tach the car up, bout say 4000rpm, let it come back to idle, hit it again, etc. It usually revs clean, but every now and then it'll not want to rev, almost like its loaded up a little bit. Let it idle back down, maybe a light rev, and then its good to go again. It'll do this on and off, usually when its colder outside. It was maybe 30 degrees today. What is going on with this? Maybe an O2 sensor making corrections that arn't always right? Just curious... I occasionally get a small stutter too, while driving. I originally thought plug wires, but now I'm leaning towards a sensor/computer type thing. I've had it want to stick a high idle a few times too. Shut it off, start it up, high idle gone. I'm starting to this this is all related, perhaps a sensor some where. Any thoughts?

With my '85 TPI, when it wasn't quite FULLY warmed up... when I put my foot on the gas, it stumbled abit then reved up. Not sure why. I just know that my friend's formula did the same thing and all we could attest to was wear and tear because they were both fine after fully warming up.
I'd replaced everything tune up wise, maybe it was dirty injectors that work better when warm? :: shug :: just my .02
