TPI on an LG4
Hey I've got an stock LG4 that I would like to convert to fuel injection. I was wondering what complications would be seen with this. I have found a few places to order a TPI setup with wiring including Thirdgen Resource and here.
One question is would I need to buy a new tank or could I use the stock tank with this
I don't know very much about this, but I'd like to get as much information as possible.

Probably two years ago, I converted my LG4 T/A over to Tuned Port. I shaved nearly an entire second off my 1/4 mile times. I went from 16.2 down to a 15.3 by mearly swapping to fuel injection. I have since replaced the motor w/ a larger engine, but thats beside the point. Some things to note are:
The stock fuel lines won't work. I bought a used set of F/I lines from the boneyard, paid like $20 for the lines from the tank to the fuel rail.
The stock fuel tank will work, but the fuel sender WILL NOT. You will need a fuel injected fuel sender. If your LG4 is an '87, then its already wired for an electric fuel pump (yes, '87 LG4's had an electric pump as well as a mechanical, but the fuel sender is still not going to work).
When I wired it up, I used a Painless harness which I HATED, but I have heard that they have since made better harnesses, however, they are still not a "direct swap". Some splicing required.
