LT1 24# vs. LS1 28# injectors

i never realized that the LS1's were rated at a higher fuel pressure. knowing this now, im unsure what injector i would be better off with. The motor is a superramed, LPE 219 cam, 1.6rr, headers, exhaust, usual bolt ons. I thought i would be better off with the LS1 injectors, but now i am unsure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :hail:

The LT1's will feed plenty of fuel to that motor. People always think they need more injector when they really don't. You'll be fine.

i guess my question really is should i keep my LS1 28s and use an AFPR to set FP to 58PSI ( i have aftermarket fuel pump) and set the injector constant on the prom to 28#, or should i make my life easy on get some LT1 injectors?

Since you already have them, make the LS1's work. Change the pulse width and PSI. and if you can't get it to run right, then swap to 24's.

You don't *have* to set your FP at 58psi though. You shouldn't need 28lbs/hr of fuel even with those mods.

Since you already have them I would keep them

FWIW, 24# LT1 injectors and LS1 28# injectors flow the same amount of fuel given the same fuel pressure. In other words, if you take '98 LS1 injectors (28#/hr rating at 58psi) and installed them in a stock 3rd gen TPI car, you will have about 24#/hr fuel flow.

Also, I hope that you realize that there are two injectors for LS1 cars. In '98 and '02, the injectors flow 28#/hr at 58psi,,, however the '99, '00, '01(?) injectors flow 26#/hr at 58psi.

This amounts to the same comparison in our 3rd gen L98 TPI cars vs. LT1 cars, 22#/hr vs 24#/hr. These injectors are flow rated at 43.5psi.

Just as DannyT said above and the others, Either LT1 injectors or '98 LS1 injectors will flow 24#/hr for you at the 3rd gen TPI fuel pressure. You do not need to nor should you want to turn your fuel pressure up to 58psi in order to get 28#/hr flow rate.
