won't start...
Ok.... first theres nothing with my car thats stock
Background..
80 305
88 TPI intake.
90 7749 ECM and $58 code.
88 165 harness repinned to 7749.
Was running fine, now its for the lack of words... dead.
Have checked the following
Timing.. new chain, but checked in case it jumped.. set @ 6* BTDC
Fuel.. pump runs, gauge reads 43 psi
Spark.. Have spark, nice orange blue spark
Plenty of air.. Twin superchargers..
Checked for 12V @ injectors and ECM
Checcked for Ground for injectors @ ECM and cylinder head, redid grounds. no change
Compression check had 7 of 8 within 10 psi, 8th down by 20 (40K shortblock, reconditioned 88 heads).
Swapped ECM and burned a new prom.. no change.
I have gone over everything twice.. and am at a total loss, no changes have been made to the car other than bypassing the water to the TB and adding gauges for oil and water.
Ideas? thought? thx... Bob

does the engine rotate and not fire, or is it completely dead, nothing at all when you turn the key?
You said you had an orange blue spark, I think you should have a bright white spark. Check your coil and see.

I'd say take a look at that coil it may not be putting out enough volts, or it could be breaking up. If the coil is leaking or arcing off fomething, chances are you will get what you are describing.

It has "some" spark so the pick up is triggering the module. Damn.... maybe its time to convert to LS1 CNP coils and a eDist..

before you go doing any mods
, I would recommend finding the problem first, and this sounds like a leaky coil. Have you checked it out yet?
