My videos....

Guys here are my runs from last weekend.
First run was when the car ran out of gas, you can see the front dip way down when it bogged. Don't mind the r/t times I was shakin like a leaf, taking out in this thing. First run was 11.80@120 1.63x 60' time

Second to the last run was 11.15@123 1.534 60' time. Dad did not get my last run which was the quickest. It was 11.147@123.

Could you please detail more things such as
what computer system,
type of WB O2 sensor,
race weight,
if you had open exhaust and what size headers,
what air/fuel ratio was optimum,
valve springs and if you used a rev kit,
shift points?
maximum timing used and where it occured?

I'd appreciate any help! Thanks

Could you please detail more things such as
what computer system =>165 ECM, Dell Laptop with Ease Scan Software.

type of WB O2 sensor=>Techedge with Digital display and logging capabilities

race weight => ~3400lbs with my in it
if you had open exhaust and what size headers =>First run was with 2 1/2" full exhaust though flow masters yeilded a 120 MPH pass, with the exhaust dropped was run #2 11.15@123. Best with Exhaust was 11.4, but the exhaust is NOT mandrel and is necked down to under 2" at spots. Hooker super comp headers
what air/fuel ratio was optimum, =>There I was running ~12.8 AFR

valve springs and if you used a rev kit=>[B]K-motion springs 800s

Double: .700 in. cam lift, 1.460 in. diameter spring

Specifications:
Diameter: 1.460 in.
Pressure at 1.850 installed height: 155 lbs.
Pressure at 1.150 open height: 450 lbs.
Coil Bind at: 1.085 in.
Material: chrome silicon steel

No rev kit

shift points? 5200 RPM shift points, probably over that 100-200 in first gear because it ripps though first so quick. But the other gears its right there. This was the first time to the track with the car, so i will play with that a little and see how critical it is.

maximum timing used and where it occured? Max timing was around 38*, I have the timing ramp in pretty quick, but Corkvette1 is running the same times and his max timing is only ~28-29* total, one time he had it up where mine was and it did not effect his ETs that much. So I wouldn't put all that much stock in total timing. Look at all the carb engines you can buy, they all run ~36* total. that is on 9:1 comression all the way to 13:1 CR.

i will play with it I'm sure, but don't really think it means or will effect much.

I think I answered everything.

Wait, his car ran the same with 28 degrees and 38 degrees?!!!

Did I read that right? You shifted at 5200 rpm!? Would you say it is the heads or the superram limiting the rpms?

Where in your exhaust did you install you WB O2?

I am looking at installing a WB02 to help with tuning but haven't been able to decide the best place.

Wait a minute. I said that corky messed with his timing and it did not make that much of a difference. also there is About 10* difference in timing between his and mine now with the tunes on the two engines.

Nothing is limiting the RPMs, all to many people shift their engines way too late for best ETs/power. Sure the SR is not a big RPM intake, but that 5200-5600 RPM shift point is optimum for a large CI engine, and it right in line for what you most likely are running too.

Its about 6-8" past the collectors end, and right adjacent to the H pipe I have installed.
