Rockers ticking more than usual
I've adjusted them about a dozen times, but it still seems like they're making too much noise. Sounds like every single rocker is ticking. I suppose it could be the injectors, but I'd like to narow it down. The heads have been milled, would this throw the geometry off just enough to where the stock pushrods are a hair too long? They're aluminum L98 heads with comp 987 springs and stock rockers. I don't want to overtighten them and burn up the valves!
Did you adjust hot or cold static or dynamic?
I recommend adjusting them with the engine warm and running, thats just my opinion and has never done me wrong where as cold or static can always leave one or two a little loose or tight. Also sometimes it can be nearly impossible to tell the difference by ear between valve lash and a leaky header/manifold, if your adjustments haven't made ANY difference, maybe you should suspect a leak. Injectors as well make noise, but I can hear the audiable difference between that and lash, although it is close.
good luck
