promar engines
i bought a car about a month ago and i got some sketchy info on the engine. its a crate 350 long block in a '88 trans am gta with 15k miles on it. im really just trying to figure out if it's a decent engine or if its a POS...i really havent got a chance to get under the car and look around for some numbers, so all im running on is some warranty papers (theres still 2 years left on the engine) and the info the guy gave me. any info would be great. thanks

Without more information I don't see how any one can make an assessment with it. Do you have any idea what it runs in the 1/4? Does it run faster than a stock TA of the same year? Does it run worse?
I would imagine that if it is a crate engine that it is probably better than what the car came with stock.
