rebuilding an L98.....question inside..
I have recently rebuilt a 350(.030) 4bolt block and have my stock TPI setup on it with the Corvette L98 alum heads. The heads have had a valve job with some minor porting on both sides. I also have the stock exhaust manifolds on it and they have been matched to the exhaust ports. The engine has the ZZ4 cam with 1.6rr and a new afpr. set at 50psi on the stock Vette 22lb injectors. My question is...what else can I do to this thing to make it run better....without spending a TON more money....This is my daily driver(again). The stock TPI has been ported and polished extensively also. Would a new base for the TPI make it run better? Could somebody also give me maybe a guestimate on my hp/tq numbers? Any other suggestions for this daily/budget buildup would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

The stock exhaust manifolds are likely the weakest link in your chain, not just from a raw flow perspective but also in terms of charge contamination. The log-type manifolds retain more pressure at the exhaust valve than even shorty headers and lead to reversion in cases where cams with very much overlap are used.
From there, the next step is chip burning. Jump into the DIY_PROM forum and read the tech article. Do some data acquisition to see how the engine is really running, tune fuel and spark tables accordingly.
After that, you're positioned to make good use of a bigger or different intake/induction system.

def, get exhaust done. hooker is the way to go. never heard anyone say anything bad about hooker. since you have ported the intake the base wouldnt be a bad idea. but id get exhaust done first, just my two cents.
