Throttle lever is not hitting the idle screw
I just punctured and removed the factory seal on the idle screw and after loosening it up a bit (lowering the idle) I notice my lever doesn't even touch it, its about 2 cm from it and it wont go back. Anyone know what the problem is?

if the throttle stop isnt hitting the screw then it means that the butterflies are closing into the walls of the TB. Also check the TPS sensor. why are you lowering your idle? is it too high. maybe you have a vaccumm leak. If you took the factory seal off the idle screw hole then it means the screw has never been tampered with and it should be set to the right postion. If your idle is higher then normal then you have other problems and moving the screw is just putting a band aid on the problem

Thanks for the advice, I think im just gonna go ahead and take it to the shop tomorrow. And yes im idling very high, currently at 1500 rpms and when im at cruising speed, if I let my foot off the gas the rpms jump to 2800. So im tired of didly daddling with it.

how many miles are on your car? The tpi throttle bodys are known to wear out over time and it causes the idle to get stuck at a higher idle speed then normal. sometimes just revving it will temporialy fix it.
