won't idle part TWO!
Apparently it stalls becaseu of the smahed steering column...breaks a circut or something....
but it has never stalled when driving only when pulling up to a stop.
THe steereing colum it toatlly smahed--I have to start it with a pair of pliers--pull oin some rod at the back.
So it drove home just fine. Got into the driveway and died. Restarted it and now it will barely idle
but bucks and shakes.......try to rev it up and it's like molasses--got my foot all the way in it
and it just oozes.
I think I smell fuel.
Any thoughts?

let me get this straight, your car stalls when you come to a stop becuz your steering column is smashed and you smell fuel and you have to stat your with pliars. GET THE COLUMN FIXED! 3rd gen columns are a dime a dozen in the boneyards. How do I know you not a rookie thieve and you stole this car andnow its giving you problems

Yes gettting the column fixed will help not stalling when coming up to a stop BUT the hood latch is broken so I can't get under to find out the cause of it's 200rpm idle (and not reving--probably only firing on a few clyinders)
I have a line on a column--but the hoods got to get opened first.
My other car, 88 Camaro, is sitting in the garage--won't start---not even crank-batteries fine.
So I have two F-bodies I cannot drive--sure wish someone in Calgary could help me
I am so screwed
I am not a rokie thief--I got the car off a guy I know--he bought it at a Police Auction. When it is running--it drives pretty well.

got hood open.
I think it's the MAF--engine does the 200-300rpm idle with MAF in place. But if you take it out and justput up by airbox it runs okay.
But I am starting to think this is too much for me
