Is it the pump for the windshield washer fluid?

 

I dont know, but you have alot more room under your hood that I do. Or so it seems. Ill go have a look see under my hood and try to see what it is. Ill hit ya back after a while.

 

Looks like there may not be a motor in the bay... because I know for a fact that I do not have that much room next to my... "thingy"

Yep, upon closer examination, that is the washer pump.
What year and model car is that on? Never seen a washer pump down there... Of course it might have been added and used for something else.

I've got a 1987 Pontiac Trans-AM. I DO NOT have that much room next to my thingy. Especially since I put the charcol canister underneath the cruise control servo.
