Old style SLP runners
Just wondering how many out there are running the old style SLP runners- the ones with one pair on each side that's fully siamesed...
I'm just looking for any feedback, good or bad, and any comparisons to stock or other aftermarket, including the later style SLPs.
I just put a set on my car (not running yet- long story) and am just wondering what gains I might expect on a 90 350 TPI. I matched the plenum (siamesed) and did the TB inlet, and also matched the runners, and blended the base on the sets where it's one runner all the way down. I also ditched the air pump and A/C
, so I'm sure I'll think it's better...
FYI- the car has stock exhaust manifolds, big SLP Y-pipe, Flowmaster cat-back, and a cold air intake... Also, the EPROM is burned by me (which I'm sure I'll have to change all kinds of stuff now
)
Anyone ever have problems with engines due to the varying runner length? Power balance issues?
Thanks for any info!

Just curious,
How did you go down that far into the runners? I have some ideas (I do a lot of porting work) but I'm not sure how others have done it...
Did anyone have to clearance the driver's side set of runners for the rearmost fuel injector? Or the rail? It was LOTS of fun to get together... I even managed to break the SLP tool (ball ended hex key), but luckily, it was while tightening the last bolt
Maybe I'll just make my own damn runners...:lala:
