tpi swap to LO3 block
i am planning a tpi swap to my LO3 block. since they have different heads, what kind of power increase if any should i expect. i was hoping for about 20 hp over the tbi.
what kind of power band would i be looking at (guestimate)
for those who have done this swap, how is the driveability compared to tbi?
thanks for any opinions, info, stats, etc.

Swap
17 HP and 70 TQ and the driveability will amaze you. Well worth the time and $$.

btw, how much of the wiring will i need. i know i'll need the ecm and the wiring under the hood, but there is another box behind my dash...? do i need that as well. and how about the wiring to the gauges etc.
thanks for any help

Kinda weird how dyno don got 17 hp and 70 tq from the swap, I assume without changing anything else and 91rs5speed got only 9 hp and 39 tq from the same thing and that was also with underdrive pulleys, airfoil, aluminum driveshaft, and cold air intake to go along with it. You will also notice how the tpi setup dropped off before the tbi did. Makes you wonder if tpi is actually better than tbi?
