Hey Guys...just wondering if anybody has experienced or has any ideas about it. Sometimes when I start the car (at night) my lights are on but don't pop up. All I have to do to fix this is turn the car off and start it again. Does anybody know what might be causing this. It doesn't happen very often but I want to fix it because something will probably happen at the m ost inopertune time!

so why did you post this in the TPI section?

 

Theres a relay for the headlight popup motors. Check the relay. Theres a post about it in the electronics section.

 

On my '88 GTA there is no relays and I believe yours is the same (GM service manual coincides). Next time it happens (lights don't pop up) pop the hood then THUMP your headlight module just above the master cylinder and see if they suddenly pop up. Mine did this also so I reseated all the connections into the module and that helped. Now, every once in a while, one headlight doesn't come up so I plan on replacing the headlight module. Pat
