code 22, anybody got a clue?

Im officially stumped. I start up my car and it immediatly idles up to 1600 rpm. It stays there and will not idle down. Occasionally, when it is warm, it will drive flawless. But those times are too far and few between. As soon as i start it and it begins to idle up, a code 22 comes up. Ive cleared it so i know its not an old code. If i give it full throttle, it will accelerate fine, but at any less throttle, it will backfire and mis-fire like crazy. It'll die if i come to a stop. Ive checked my tps and its adjusted properly. Anybody have a clue? Also i would like to rule out the possibility of a vaccumn leak, it will run flawless about 10% of the time, and happens too instantly to be a leak. Thanks.

I have an shop manual for the 87 5.0 and 5.7l which says that a code 22 is TPS signal voltage low. Not sure if its the same for a 86 LB9. A short or ground in circuit 416 Gray wire (5v reference) from TPS to ecm C14 or 417 Dark Blue wire from TPS (TPS Signal) to ecm C13. Hope this helps
