Corvette intake set up TPI help

sups guys. I got a 89 L98 TPI vette. I just switched over to a 730 ECM, LT1 intake manifold swap....bolt ons, headers...etc.
one problem I'm havin is the intake piping. what kind of intake is on the 90-92 MAP F body TPI's?? I can't run a 3" pipe over the radiator.. b/c the hood won't close.... I'm trying to pipe 3" pipe into the licesnce plate area...where the KN is that i placed in the nose... but hood clearance is tricky here.. any ideas from you 90-92 F TPI guys??? PIcs?? ideas?? please... thanks.

How about oval piping maybe?

The 90-92 TPI F bodies just use a longer throttle body boot to make up for lack of the MAF...otherwise the air cleaner assembly is the same for all TPI F bodies.

Have you seen these pictures of a LT1 intake conversion in a Corvette?

Yes.... I'm almost done with my LT1 intake manifold conversion. my question pertained to the actual INTAKE....AIR intake. My problem is i don't want to run the stock air box on my vette. I also don't need the MAF b/c i'm SD.

Wow, there isn't much room to work with. I would prob just clamp a K&N directly to the TB.

He can't. The LT1 intake conversion on a SBC has the TB sitting very low and farther forward then TPI. A TB air filter would touch the serpentine belt.
