Will -84 tpi setup fit my -87 lg4?
I'm reading as much as I can, been like 8-10 hours a day since I found the site, but haven't come to this yet.
I got a deal of 250$ on a complete tpi setup, with harness, sensors, the works. Question is, wheter it would fit or not, being that the 87's had some difference in their head to manifold fit.
Here's the link from classifieds; https://www.thirdgen.org/classifieds...tgo?adid=22873
Would I be missing something, or is all there? Or will I perhaps be better off with a -87 unit? Any comments would be appreciated.

the 4 center bolt holes on 87+ cylinder heads are at a different angle than 85 cylinder heads. So if you were to buy that tpi system, you would have to modify the manifold. The guy who had my car before me tried to do it, but coolant leaked into the lifter valley because he did a bad job. You could buy that system, and then use an aftermarket baseplate, the edelbrock baseplate can be used for pre 87 and post 87 heads.

Okey, i'll just forget it then. There are lots of these setups up for sale anyhow, just that this one was kinda cheap. Guess I'll look for a good -87 up unit with all the necessary little wing-dings.
This would probably be the most advanced job on a car so far for me, but its the milage thing which is the reason. It's like between 5,8$ and 7,6$ a gallon where I'm at.
