Ok I had to replace the water pump on my iroc....but I broke one of the bolts in the block....it is exposed about 1/4 in or so outside of the hole....what is the best way to get this thing out?

Uh oh. Sounds like the bolt simply siezed up in the hole. They do sell bolt extractor kits for broken bolts, but I'm not sure it'll work on a siezed up bolt.

You might have to carefully drill it out- inching up from a small size to one that is just under the minor diameter of the bolt hole. Then clean out the remaining pieces and debris with a good thread chaser.

If you snapped it off putting it in, you should be able to just grab it with vice grips and back it out. If it snapped off while trying to remove the bolt, then it's most likely rusted into the block and needs to be removed by the drill out, thread chaser method Pro-tour mentioned. Good luck man!

i would try vice grips since you say it's a 1/4 inch out.... just rough up the surface so you can grab on and try screwing it out slowly
