new to the TPI forum- little help please
hey everyone, I just bought an IROC within the last couple weeks and I'm having some problems with it. I changed the alternator on it because that was the original problem and I told the lady instead of paying me just give me a price. Well, the car wouldn't start still so I disconnected the MAF sensor and it ran but just idled very choply. (is that even a word?) So What could it be, I have about 20psi of fuel pressure to the fuel rail. Any suggestions?

Replace the fuel filter. Hopefully it's clogged and it isn't your fuel pump that is going south. Remove and plug the vacuum line from the FPR when reading FP. You should have 40-45psi. 20psi is definitely too low.
