Are all O2 sensors created equal?

Is there any advantage to using one O2 sensor from another?

Is a generic O2 as good as say a Delco O2?

I've noticed some people saying that they use Corvette O2s....what's the difference?

Is it cost only, or does one perform better (ie. smoother low speed operation) than the other?

A O2 sensor is a O2 sensor they all perform one function. Quality

I wouldnt say that necessarily........For stuff like that it just pays sometimes to run the good stuff, meaning delco or AC equivelant.... I know for a fact on older CCC cars that non gm o2's always seemed to have a idle hesitation/lope that always came about due to non GM o2 and im not the only that has had this problem. Iw rok on cars for a living and have my own fleet of birdies(3) and for stuff like critical sensors etc i dont think twice about getting Delco for things like that

Just my 2 cents take it for what its worth and shop around u can get delco stuff cheap if u take the time to find it

Later

Yeah, I've heard that too. Someone put a generic O2 on my car, and I have what seems like a an "idle lope" (rpms seem to flutter up and down abit), and I have an occasional hesitation or bog.

I was blaming it on bad gas or a vacume leak.....but that new O2 is kind of stuck in my head.

The Boschs have had an internal ground problem for years, and they refuse to fix it, thou they claim to have, from what I've read.

I had 3 in a row that went to 0mv at WOT.

A/C's are the only ones I run other then WBs.

YMMV

Did they throw a code, or give you any drivability problems?

UPDATE!

I put the old original AC Delco O2 back in my car and took out the new generic one the shop put in.

The mechanic said the Delco O2 on my car had a"lazy"response, so he changed it while doing some other work.

I've only driven it afew miles with the old "lazy" AC Delco o2, (the original factory equipped one on my 9,200 mile IROC), but my car seems to run better. It idles abit smoother and it doesn't really buck at low speed like it did with the new generic o2.

What do you guys think....am I imagining this?
