Where to get information on my block??

I went to the machine shop today and were real good friends with the guy always gives us a good deal. Anyway i was talkin about him buildin me a 383 and i have a 76 4bolt 350. HE was sayin it would be better for me to find a newer block cause the retro fit roller cam and lifter are real exspensive. So we got lookin around and he had a 4 bolt main 350 roller block. So i was think it must be out of a corvette and he sold it to me for 125. I got the numbers off the block they were kinda hard to read tho ne1 know where i can look them up to see what it came out of.
heres the number on the back where the belhousing bolts up
10243880
and heres the number in the front on the deck.

tech data

either look at the tech data on this board or maybe even go on a place like car domain and type in your search about your engine. 383. That is going to be a great engine. any search engine that you type your engine type in will bring you to links that will help you. If you need some real good information a friend of ours named dwayne i believe has a 383 in his set up. I could be wrong but his SN is Dwayne88iroc. PM him maybe he will know. He really knows his cars.
