Next upgrade?
Next upgrade?
Guys,
I debating on what to do with the car next.
Its an 87 tpi, converted to the 730ecm.
Engine:
383ci
LPE219 cam
AFR 195's
Miniram
crane 1.6's(wanting to upgrade to some nice steel ones, these are getting noisey)
trick-flo hardened pushrods
Transmission:
200r4
more or less stock from a GN
stock GN torque convertor
11x24 aftermarket 200r4 transmission cooler
Differential:
10bolt, 7.5 rear disc(from a 94Z)
3.73's
rear girdle
Suspension:
Weld in Sub-frame connectors
Hotchkis LCA's
What would you guys suggest be the next upgrade?
I was really wanting to do a turbo, custom fab some headers, and swap the the 749 ecm. I haven't really decided. That is a big step though. May go another year NA and then go turbo.
Assumming I stay NA, I was thinking a 3000stall and maybe a 230/230 or 236/236 cam.
Maybe some suspension upgrade? Ideas?
Thanks

Yes, slicks are a must... I'm prolonging the purchase in fear of nuking the 10bolt
I'm doing the custom tuning... it runs like a stock 350 until you get ugly with it, just seems that the combo isn't exactly matched yet.
It comes alive at 3200+ rpm(granted it pulls from 2500+)
