Hi,
I have a question about a cam that I have in my engine right now. The specs for the cam are:

220 in/231 ex @ .050
.468 in/.480 lift
110 lsa

This cam is more for a carb, but I am putting this engine in my TPI car. Will this cam run in the engine, if so will it run like crap. Can I tune it so that it will run decent, or is it impossible?

yea, that will run in your engine... the lift isnt really crazy, but then again you didnt list anything about your motor, unless i missed it in the sig... it should run pretty good, but higher duration cams tend not to agree with the stock computer to well. good luck on the build up...

not to go against what you said al but my computer has no prob with the hotcam, but maybe i just got lucky.

well, not major problems but some PROM tunning would help out that LT4 hot cam.. im not talking about total mental ecm shut down.. but sometimes with a long duration, LSA, and... well just a big **** cam, the computer will start throwing codes...

It says TPI conversion, is it going to be speed density or MAF? If SD, it's going to run pig rich at idle from a low vaccum signal. MAF, it may run a little better because it's a little more forgiving. I don't think it will run very well with a stock PROM IMHO. Be prepared to spend money on chip tuning.

Yeah, it's a TPI conversion. I'm swapping out the 305 TBI in my 92 RS for this:
