TPI help
TPI help
I bought the TPI intake, plenum, runners, fuel railing, injectors, and throttle body all for $140. I plan on buying a new throttle body(52mm hopefully), 22lb/hr injectors, and most likely a new intake to fit my motor. there in lies the problem. I am putting this on a 70 model chevy pickup. I know I need the computer, wiring harness, and an external fuel pump. But what else do I have to do? Do I have to have the MAF, and the O2 sensor? I know I either have to buy the newer style heads like the original motor had or else buy the Edlebrock intake that fits the late model head. I have a pair of 882's I bought way before the TPI. The newer style heads would take like a $200 investment so they would hold up enough. It's gonna be running atop a 350 4bolt bored out .30. If someone could give me some tips or tell me how to do this if they have done it before it would be greatfully appreciated.
did u get the computer with the tpi setup? im guessing you didnt because you didnt state so. its up to what you want to do, if you want to go MAF then youll need the computer and harness to go along with that setup. if you go SD then you will have to get the computer and harness for that setup. for the heads, go with whatever will make more power, you will thank yourself in the end for puttin out that extra dollar.
