I have MSD cap and rotor on my Z and it's about a year old and still in good shape.

According to a reliable source at TPIS, I was told they prefer the stock Delco coil, cap & matching rotor when they tune, particularly for the coil-in-cap style HEI.

I'm pretty sure the MSD red cap and rotor are from Conrad. You can get a cap and rotor kid for some $19 american at autozone. Not sure if they have that up there, though.

Hyper Tech makes an excellent c/c/r combo that spitz more spark than MSD and others. Especially nice for the 85/86 models when combines with some beefy MSD wires.

Accel supercoil, cap and rotor.
