?? on trik flow heads

Is there a differance betwen the twisted wedge and regualer trick flow head or are they the same and just called that? Which trick flow head is the one to be used in our TPI engines? I was thinking of adding a set to my HSR and wanted some feedback on it

Yes they are different. You can use either head but the twisted wedge are more of a PITA to work with.
Here's some pics of the twisted wedge heads on my site.

I just received my TFS 23 degree heads and 1.6 RRs a few days ago so I can't offer any feed back yet. I would like to hear some, too. It will be my winter project. I got the ones with the 1.47" springs and CNC chambers which are supposed to be good for a few more HP. I'm sure I'll be asking alot of questions when I start the install.

Yes, they are different. The "Twisted Wedge" design cants the valves at a different angle for some sort of benefit. I "think" (please don't qoute me on this) that Trick Flow had so many problems with the Twisted Wedge design that they reverted back to the standard 23° design.
I have the TFS G1 heads and aside from the custom pushrods and worn valveguides, they seem OK.

I have been running the 23* TFS heads on my 355 (see site for more details if you would like). I have about 10k on the engine so far and have had zero problems with them. I have the .540" lift spring setup and all of it is still out-of-the-box stock from TFS. I shift mine at about 5700 RPM.

I don't have any dyno numbers, but I trapped 105MPH (we won't talk about the rest of the numbers ) with my car a few months ago on a fairly rough tune.... So it was making decent power at the time but I have since made some more changes to the WOT fuel stuff in the PROM and it certainly feels much better and the scantool data looks much better. But the TPI intake (although thoroughly hogged out in my case) and the small-ish cam are likely the limiting factors in my application and I would bet the heads could support quite a bit more power.

For the price I don't think there are many other heads out there that fit a 350 buildup better. The data I have seen says they flow in the 250-260 cfm range on the intake and 180-190 cfm range on the exhaust for the non-CNC'd ones so that makes them a pretty good bang for the buck head. I would bet a mild bowl blend and 3-angle valve grind would put them in the 275I/200E cfm range which is very respectable.

I have heard some rumors about some TFS heads having troubles with valve seats falling out but I haven't actually seen/heard first hand reports of it....

I am running the 1st generation Trick Flow "Twisted Wedge" heads on my 406 and I LOVE 'em! They look like mini-rat heads with the offset intake valves!
The way the intake valves are rotated they completley unshroud the valves and they work great.
I am running almost 11.1 compression without problems. Rick at Trick Flow told me that there were some early spring failures and people gave 'em a bad rap.. TF sent me a set of new springs and valve seals (the original teflon seals were 'too much' for street use).
I bowl-ported mine.
