Fuel Pressure Setting
I just bought a Holley AFPR and was wondering what the best setting (PSI) would be for performance for my car?
It is on a stock '86 Iroc 305 tpi with a ported plenum and air foil currently. I do not have acess to a track or a dyno, so I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation?
Thanks for any insight!

I've a 85 305 TPI, mods below. FWIW, a friend hooked up a scanner and exhaust sniffer to fine tune fuel pressure to 13:1 (good for power) at WOT. Stock was 43lbs, we ended up at 38lbs. Most of these are over-rich from GM. Lean is mean!

just looked it up in my TPIS hints book.....GM recommended 37-43psi for an 86, 305....TPIS has charts recommending alittle more . there chart shows an 87 305 with mass air flow .when adjusted to 50.5 psi it increases to +10.2 tq and +9.7hp over the stock setting of 42 psi ..

1985 computers are way different from 1986-89 computers. The 85's are setup rich and should theoretically be set at 39 pounds from the factory. The 86-89 computers are programmed way leaner. They are also much faster, give better gas mileage, and make my modifed 85 run much smoother...
