Help..... Lean exhuast, code 44

Ive been getting code 44 latley, being lean exhaust and I dont know whats causing it. Ill be sitting at a light then the car will idle kinda weird, bouncing from 500 to 750 then back down, 10 seconds of that and I get the code. Anyone know whats goin on. Ive got a 85 305 TPI with Headers, Exhaust, and no Cat. Thanks
