O2 sensor plug burned up
the O2 sensor connector to the wiring harness burned up. the O2 sensor and the connector to it are in working condition, but the connector to the wiring harness is beyond recognition. I need to buy a new one to splice into my dangling wire. Where can I get one?
How can I prevent this from happening again? the connector got burned to smitherenes on my header tube.
Hopefully this will solve my poor performance problem.
Thanks,
FN Lavely

if its just the wire then cut off the burnt area and splice in a new section and make sure you sucure it good. I have mine tucked away from my headers and y pipe with zip ties.

Hmm...that gives me an idea...Can I splice the wire going from the 02 sensor directly into the wiring harness? I bet that would be okay...
the 02 sensor has a wire with a femal connector and the wiring harness has a wire with a male connector...my male connector was melted beyond recognition. I bet just bypassing both the connectors would work, UNLESS there is some sort of signal switching going on in that connector? Looks too small to do much, but could be. Anyone know? Thanks.
