just wondering who has the fastest na car that runs a maf

 

Ski_dwn_it has a fast vette with MAF, I think he runs low 11's.

 

This is a really good question. It bothered me for ages. I used to wake up with a fright in the middle of the night having nightmares about unsolved riddles.

Eventually it all got too much for me, and I found this board, learned how to program my own PROMS and went out to solve the problem of what is the world's fastest maf car on the motor.

Well, I hate to admit it, but I really don't know, 'cause the best I could get out of the sucker was 10.07 at 145. It seemed like no answer to the question at all. And it guzzled fuel like it was going out of style- 30 to the gallon on the highway.

I gave up in disgust, and bought a Nissan Pulsar instead. At least it's SD.

PS, if it wasn't for the well-known fact that you can't get over 350HP on a MAF, I'd have been in the nines, no problems.

 

There was a 4th Gen F/B at the T/A Nationals last week, that claimed low/mid 10s that had a MAF sensor on it.

 

Or a better question might be, who has the fastest NA car period and does it run MAF or SD?

 

why not say who has the fastest car period carb or injection then right?

 

Thats a great question as well, but probably best asked on the carb board, not many carb guys hang in the DIY PROM board.

 

Unfortunately this question is not really DIY Prom related either. So I am moving it to the TPI Board where it will get more attention.

5 are listed as using the '85-89 MAF units. All show times in the 11's or 12's.
