HSR and throttle cables?
Okay, I have another minor issue I encountered today. When I installed the plenum to test fit everything, I found that the stock throttle cable is too short. When I attached it to the TB, the throttle plates would not close all the way on there own. I would have to push the throttle closed and it will reopen slightly without pressure. The throttle cable looks very stretched.
Has anyone else had this happen? I ran a search and did not find any discussions of throttle cable issues with HSR installs. I did find a few pics of some of the guys around with HSRs and all of there throttle cables look fine.
HELP ME!!!

not me. buy there are some with the newer TB (i think 89-up) where the linkage hits the plenum. some grinding will take care of that.

I encountered the same problem...here's what I did.
Under the gas pedal bracket there is a piece of metal that extends from it and the gas pedal rod (where the throttle cable attaches to) will be resting on it...it's more or less a pedal stop.
Bend it slightly forward until you can fully close the throttle on its own, works great! HTH's.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that in the morning.
What does "HTH" mean?
