smog pump delete pulley?

http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ebaymotors/w...tem=2429421159 Isaw this on ebay a little while ago, is this something I need if don't plan on using the smog pump? I've already got the a/c delete pulley on the way, but never thought about where the smog pump once was? I got rid of everything I don't need to try and free up a little room in my engine compartment, it's already going to be a tight enough fit with out all that extra stuff. thanks guys

You don't need a delete pulley for the smog pump. You just ditch the smog pump and reroute the belt. I'm pretty sure there is something in the tech articles on doing it.

i have done it, and like the less clutter under the hood, i also removed all my a/c equipment as well, i also removed my washer fluid and radiator overflow bottles and replaced them with one from a 91 ford exploder (which i mounted where the charcoal canister used to be) i replaced the charcoal canister with a filter to vent the gas tank.

I like it, there is such a long distance now between the crank pulley and the AC with my smog pump gone that the belt vibrates a lot. I also noticed some rubber dust around the front of my engine, probably from the belt flopping around so much. I think it may look better than the open space where the pump was also. 10 H.P. I guess they figure you get that from deleting the pump.

Thanks for showing that link, I wasnt sure if anyone made anything like that.

I removed my coolant tank, windsheild washer tank and battery. I also removed my intake and runners since they were too heavy and took up too much room.

Next was that darn crankshaft oh oh, and that power steering pump along with the steering wheel!

I didn't get rid of the a/c or smog crap to get rid of weight. My set p is going into an s10. If I was to have a/c I'm betting I'd overheat in the mildest of weather. With temps in the low 100's most of the Texas summer, I'm sure it would have ran extremly hot! Seeing as how I don't have any of the smog crap is the reason I'm not using any of it. So your attempt to be funny has only made you look like a *****!
