My 86 Iroc 305 TPI has a problem when you back out of the throttle. It will cruise along then the engine sort of dies then runs ok without doing anything.This will happen 3 or 4 times.When this occures the tach goes from up and down from 1500 rpm to 0.Service light on, 33 & 34. Have replace o2 sensor, check connections. Can an 86 be read on a laptop?

 

Jusy curious, but you have MAF codes, yet you changed the O2 sensor...any reason why?

'86 should be a '165' ECM, so yes, you should be ale to scan it.

 

Originally I had a 13 code (o2 sensor) replaced that and had this problem since. Also now the cold injector is not working all the time making it hard to start. Under throttle the car runs fine?

 

wow... 33 AND 34? they both are totaly opposite of eachother. I sugest you get a SU 145 Wells MAF. Someone will post the site here that you can pick it up for around $160.
