fuel pump question

i am currently building a 383w/ the lt1 intake swap to replace the 406tpi that is currently in my s-10. right now i have an "in tank" fuel pump from a 88 (80 something- not sure exactly) z-28. i am going to buy the fuel rails and lines from a 97 lt1 trans-am that was wrecked. the guy that i am buying this stuff from said he would also sell me the fuel pump for next to nothing if i needed that also. my questions are as follows- i dont know where the fuel pumps are in the lt1 trans-ams, would it be a direct swap from what i currently have? and also- do the trans-am pumps pump any more than what i have now- would there be any advantage to trying to install this pump? i figure i will take the lines off his hands that way i dont have to screw with trying to make my own fittings and such, but i dont know what to do about the pump.

The output difference is Negligable at best... Would not waste my time with it...Instead spend $120 on a WalBRO 255LPH in tank pump kit....Its a plug and play kit...will give you more than enough fuel...Installs JUST like stock...and Walbro even puts the correct plug and play harness on it..

Ditto, don't waste your time dropping the tank for a stock replacement.

Yeah thats about right for it....Mine was 120 because it was modified by walbro...I needed it to be modified for sustained HIGH PRESSURE because of my FMU setup for the blower...It was like 15 or 20 dollar difference..

Kind of wierd too because mine has a stock Walbro number stamped on it...THEN AN ENGRAVED addition option code and initials on it...LOL
