Just sharing some ecperience with ya' all(kinda long, but i got a question)

Just replaced my injectors with a set of accells and put on a holley AFPR. I learned our cars were not meant to be worked on. Everything was going fine, till i go to take the fuel rail off. Had to use a small prybar to get the fuel rail out, that gave way, flew out of my hand and nicked the paint where the hood closes down. After cursing in languages i didnt know exsisted, i brought the rail in cause it was getting cold, and went to chage the reg. That all went fine till i went to put the new one on. Stripped out every screw. So the next day as i was sitting in traffic (NJ sux at 7am) I re-tapped all the holes and used a set of standard machine threads from Home Dopey. With that all done, I polished everthing up, and got the dremel out, took out the ridges behind the TB, and gave it a a real good cleaning/degreasing inside.

Well after i got it all together it fired up, no problem. You have no idea the relief I felt. After some of the horror stories I heard.
The stock pressure was rock solid at 46 before, so i set it at that till it got up to temp, then jumped it up to 48.
Never got to drive it, it was too late, Idle quality is great, but my only question is, when its all hooked up to the vacuum, is it normal to see the pressure drop? I am assuming when its at full throttle the vacuum drops, giving it the set pressure?

yes it is normal to see the pressure drop when it is under vaccum. to set it, disconnect the vaccum lint to the regulator and plug it, set it to your desired FP and reconnect the vaccum line. it should drop about 5 to 10 psi.

Yup. To go 6 miles took 40 minutes.

Clip, thanx, I figured it was normal, I set the FP with it disconnected, and plugged. Fuel pressure is rock solid. Must have a good pump.
