Temp gauge malfunctioning?
Well, upon initial start-up, the cars temp rises to a nice operating temp. However, once shut down, upon restart, the temp gauge stays pegged right around 100' and stays there. What gives? Bad gauge or bad sensor, the sensor appears as though it was just changed, the threadlocking tape is still bright white. Any ideas? Are these gauges jst as bad as the oil pressure as far as accuracy??? Thanks guys

The coolant temp guage in these cars isn't anywhere near as bad as the oil pressure guages so you're not likely chasing a phantom known bug.
Other than that:
Cold = high resistance
Hot = low resistance
Feel free to troubleshoot the problem yourself using the facts above. I.E. when the needle is doing it's stuck low thing, disconnect the wire and ground it. Needle should peg high. If not, the guage is ignoring the sender, or the wire has an intermittent break.
