Block off egr plate

Ok guys, after i fix my tranny again, i will be putting my new tpi setup on (in sig). The edelbrock base i got has an egr block off plate on it. Should i leave it that way when i install it, or should i keep the egr valve? I don't need emissions, and I will be getting a new prom burned soon to accompany the #25's i am putting on. I heard it will throw a code without the egr, unless i disable it in the prom, is that right?

any benefit to taking off?

thanks.

Keep it. No benefit to taking it off. Yes it may throw a code but will not effect anything. We can't tell you fuel pressure right now. Just leave it stock and make fuel changes in the chip.
